Filters are a critical part of every fuel dispenser, ensuring that the fuel delivered to vehicles is clean and free of contaminants. These filters remove particles such as dirt, rust, and water, which could otherwise damage vehicle engines or reduce efficiency.
If a filter inside the fuel dispenser becomes clogged, it can restrict fuel flow and slow down refueling. That’s why operators must replace dispenser filters regularly, usually every 6–12 months depending on usage. Some advanced fuel dispensers have sensors that alert operators when filter replacement is needed.
By keeping fuel clean, filters protect both the fuel dispenser and the customer’s vehicle.
